Dr. Anselme Siméon Sanou (second from right), medical doctor, epidemiologist, and 2014 Mandela Washington Fellow 2014 from Burkina Faso organized the first scientific conference on Ebola discussing preparedness and response one year after. Dr. Sanou was joined by fellow 2014 YALI’s, Zainab Conteh (second from left) from Sierra Leone and Sedekie Kamara (first from left) from Liberia. All attended Morgan State University where they met, Dr. Payam Sheikhattari (first from right), Associate Professor from Morgan State University, who also attended the workshop. The workshop was conducted in coordination with the Burkina Faso Ministry of Health and funded in part by a grant from the US Embassy in Ouagadougou.
