As part of the commemoration of International Earth Day, the U.S. Embassy through its Public Affairs Section sponsored public Earth Day celebration concert featuring the USAFE (US Air Force in Europe) band “Touch’n Go” and local Burkinabe musician Nabalum as well as “Les Voix de Laafi” choir. The event was held on Tuesday, April 18th at Espace Gambidi, a community art center in Ouagadougou, during a week-long visit to the city by a delegation from USAFE as part of the biannual African Partnership Flight. Burkina Faso is the host country of the current edition of APF, and this PAS sponsored concert highlighted the good relationship between the US Military and our allied partners in the region.
