
A United States Presidential Delegation was in town yesterday to attend the inauguration of President Roch Kabore. Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs Linda Thomas-Greenfield led the delegation, which also included Commander of AFRICOM General David Rodriquez, and U.S. Ambassador to Burkina Faso Tulinabo Mushingi. As part of their visit, they met with the newly-elected President to congratulate him and express the United States’ commitment to work with the new government in strengthening governance, security, and economic growth in Burkina Faso.
