The Public Diplomacy Section through ECA Arts Envoy Program brought a jazz group to participate in the well know annual jazz festival, Jazz A Ouaga. The goal of this concert was to create an opportunity for cultural exchange via music and engage young musicians at the same time. The Jazz a Ouaga Festival is in its 23rd year and is one of the most useful tools to engage with one of our most strategic populations:  the youth.  During the festival, the Emily Braden quartet performed at Ambassador Mushingi’s residence.  They were joined by local singer, superstar, Alif Naba, after having jammed together earlier in the day.  This concert was part of the week-long Jazz A Ouaga festival. The jazz group also travelled to Bobo Dioulasso, the second largest city of Burkina Faso and a culturally vibrant city and performed in various places.
