U.S Embassy Sponsors FESPACO and Honors Filmmakers with a Connection with the U.S.

On March 5, 2015 the U.S Embassy hosted a reception to honor filmmakers having a connection with the United States and present to the 2015 Pan African Films’ Festival of Ouagadougou (FESPACO). This 24th edition of the FESPACO was partially funded by the U.S. Embassy who took advantage to honor through a reception, filmmakers having a connection with the U.S.

Mr. Kwaw Paintsil Ansah, an award-winning Ghanaian film-maker, who studied Performing Arts at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts of New York from 1963 to 1965, Ms. Akosua Adoma Owusu who attended the California Institute of the Arts, Ms. Essien IQuo who attended Stanford University and New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, as well as Mr. Lawrence Agbetsise, Mr. Q. Ovbiagele Desmond and Ms. Victoria Dogbe Delali were introduced to guests during the reception by Public Affairs Officer Brenda Soya, after a speech given by Ambassador Mushingi.
