Did you know that March is Women’s History Month? During this month, we will feature talented Burkinabe women with whom we have had the honor to work through our exchange programs, educational initiatives, and development projects. We are proud of their accomplishments in their communities and proud to call them partners in building a stronger partnership and friendship between the United States and Burkina Faso. Although these women are inspirational themselves, truly Burkinabe Women of Inspiration, we have asked them to share their community initiatives.
We also support the YALI “Africa4Her” pledge for women and girls. Africa4Her aims to invest in the future of the communities and the continent through women and girls’ empowerment. It is everyone’s duty to take action to improve women and girls’ access to equal opportunities in professional, educational, and socioeconomic setting. These engagements can also be protected through education, laws, and legislation. Even the smallest of deeds towards women still has a significant impact, because women are the pillars of the society.
