
On December 19, 2014 U.S Ambassador Tulinabo Mushingi presided over the launching ceremony of the Young African Mentoring Program. This program launching ceremony was for the benefit of young pupils present. The Young African Mentoring Program is a framework for valuable exchange of experience. Mentors are products of the Washington Mandela Fellowship Program or the YALI, Young African Leadership Initiative. Mentees are students of the English Access Micro scholarship Program.
The ceremony was led by Mr. Philippe Diendéré who is a YALI alumnus. After the project’s presentation by the Public Affairs Officer, Mentees and Mentors’ delegates delivered a speech. Ambassador Mushingi provided advices and encouraged the participants through his speech. The Mentees further received an Internet training and learnt how to run successful research in the internet. They also attended a presentation and information session on the American Library.
