On the occasion of American Film Week, the U.S. Embassy partnered with Institut Imagine in Ouagadougou to organize a training workshop for filmmakers and producers. Jean Michel Dissard, Director and Producer of fiction and documentary from Brooklyn (U.S.A) and author of “I learn America” provided the training to 20 professionals who teamed up to build what Dissard called “a small story that tells the great history.” The bilingual MacArthur Grant Awardee Dissard also showed his film I learn America with hundreds of students in several exciting presentations. The program closed Friday April 24 with comments by American Ambassador Tulinabo Mushingi and Imagine Director, Gaston Kabore.
