U.S. Ambassador T. Mushingi Receives an Award of Recognition from the MAVO

Ambassador Mushingi receives his certificate from MAVOOn February 21, 2015, Ambassador Mushingi received an award from MAVO (the Ouagadougou City Associations Movement) in recognition of his commitment to the development of Burkina Faso through the Millennium Challenge Account and the Road Show program where he visited all of the regions of Burkina Faso. MAVO is a group of more than 300 associations in Ouagadougou that recognizes distinguished personalities for their work in the development of the country. Ambassador Mushingi received the award at a ceremony attended by civil society representatives, government officials and traditional chiefs, where he expressed his gratitude to MAVO and dedicated his award to President Obama for sending him to Burkina Faso as his representative, to the Embassy personnel for assisting him in carrying out his work, and to all of the Burkinabés for their warm welcome, And above all, the Burkinabé youth who do not stop fighting every day for a better life.
