On Thursday, April 14, 2016, Ambassador Tulinabo Mushingui and his staff traveled to the village of Tuili located 40 km of Ouagadougou. This road show referred to by the embassy as the ”Tuli in Tuili” was undertaken to view firsthand the progress of activities under way by Association Namanegbzanga in the area. Namanegbzanga is one of 18 associations that received funding through the Ambassador self-help funds.

Namanegbzanga specifically, received more than five million in CFA francs (5,632,600F) to purchase a motor pump for a gardening project. Thanking the Ambassador, the villagers praised the United States’ actionsthrough the U.S. Embassy in Ouagadougou, and welcomed a continued engagement by the US in the fight against poverty in Burkina Faso. Expressing their joy through many presents offered to the ambassador and his wife, the village raised ”Tuli of Tuili” to the rank of great warrior, and leader of the youth, for the village that bears his name in Burkina Faso.
