On the occasion of International Education Week, the Public Affairs team at the U.S. Embassy in Burkina Faso organized an EducationUSA information session to discuss higher education opportunities in the United States. The session provided students and graduates to-be with the opportunity to discover American universities through a morning expo and afternoon panel discussions in which 36 U.S. universities were represented. Ambassador Tulinabo Mushingi highlighted in his opening remarks the advantages of international education and added that “surpassing language barriers provides greater ability to connect and work together.” Approximatively 500 students visited the fair and/or attended the panels on undergraduate, graduate, community college and online programs.
