Message for U.S. Citizens: Avenue Kwame N’Krumah Open to Traffic

The U.S. Embassy advises U.S. citizens that Avenue Kwame N’krumah in Ouagadougou is open to traffic and the order for embassy personnel to avoid travel to that area of downtown Ouagadougou has been lifted.

The Embassy urges U.S. citizens to continue to review personal security plans, remain aware of your surroundings, including local events, and monitor local news stations for updates.  Be vigilant and take appropriate steps to enhance your personal security.
