Message For U.S. Citizens: Town Hall for American Citizens

Location:  U.S. Embassy, Ouagadougou

Event:  Town hall for American Citizens

The U.S. Embassy in Ouagadougou invites all American citizens and parents of minor American citizens to a town hall meeting with Ambassador Sandra Clark on Thursday, December 3, from 10:00am to 11:00am. Due to COVID-19 precautions, the event will be held virtually, although there will be a limited number of spots available at the Embassy to attend the town hall in person.  Those desiring to attend at the Embassy may sign up, and spots will be assigned in advance on a first-requested, first-served basis.  We kindly request that minors do not sign up to attend the event and you do not bring guests who have not signed up.  If you are selected to attend the town hall in person, we will contact you by phone to share further details.  Those who are not selected to attend in person are still welcome and encouraged to participate virtually.  Participants who register to attend virtually will receive an email with the meeting link a couple days prior to the event.

To register to attend the event (either in person or virtually), please follow the instructions below:

  • Each individual who wishes to participate must complete this survey. (As part of the survey, you will be asked to indicate whether you desire to attend in person.)
  • All those who wish to participate, either in person or virtually, must write to consularouaga@state.gov with a photo of the biographical page of your passport.  (For non-American parents of minor American citizens, please include a copy of your identity card and the minor’s passport.)

Please note that RSVPs must be received by 5:00pm on Thursday, November 26.  If you have any additional questions, please contact consularouaga@state.gov.

Very Respectfully,

Ouagadougou Consular.
