Location:  Burkina Faso

Event: The Burkina Faso Ministry of Health confirmed 261 cases of COVID-19 and 14 related deaths in Burkina Faso.

Registration for the Canadian repatriation flight en route to Washington, DC on Friday, April 3 is now closed.  There are no further repatriation options at this time; if any other options become available, notifications will be sent via the STEP registration system and posted on our Facebook and Twitter feeds.

Effective March 16, 2020 U.S. Embassy Ouagadougou suspended routine consular services.  For emergency American Citizens Services, including emergency passports, please visit our website for additional information.  For after hours emergencies, please call (226) 25 49 53 00.

  • Call the Burkina Faso hotline at (226) 52-19-53-94 or (226) 70-95-93-27, or dial 35 35, if you feel ill and suspect you might have COVID-19.
