These programs are augmented by local opportunities in countries around that world that allow non-U.S. citizens to explore U.S. culture and the English language. The United States supports international education and welcomes foreign students and exchange visitors. Before applying for a visa, students and exchange visitors must be accepted by their schools or program sponsors.
American English is a resource center for teaching and learning about American English.
The EducationUSA Advising Center of the Public Affairs Section of the American Embassy Ouagadougou provides educational advising services 20 hours per week.
The educational and cultural exchange Programs give Burkinabe the opportunity to go to the United States for professional development and studies.
Through its Public Diplomacy small grants program, the U.S. Embassy Burkina Faso will accept small grant proposals from December 15, 2022 to July 25, 2023.
The U.S. Embassy in Ouagadougou sponsors a variety of international exchange programs each year, in conjunction with the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA). These exchanges are designed to enhance mutual understanding between the people of the U.S. and other nations. The Department of State is committed to supporting alumni by providing resources that will help them to build upon their exchange experience.
