The Consular Section’s main responsibilities are: American Citizen Services (ACS) and Visas (Nonimmigrant Visas and Immigrant Visas).
The Consular Section is open Monday thuesday and Wednedsday from 8AM to 12 PM local time. Nonimmigrant visa interviews are held on Monday Tuesdays and wednesday mornings between 8AM and 12PM. American Citizen Services are limited to emergency services during Nonimmigrant visa interview hours. The local time is equivalent to GMT. The Consular Section is closed during American and local holidays.
The Embassy is located on Avenue Sembène Ousmane, Ouaga 2000, Secteur 15 near the Ministry of Agriculture and southeast of the “Memorial aux Heros Nationaux”. The Consular Section entrance is on the west side of the building.
