Chargé d’Affaires David Young from the U.S. Embassy traveled to Kamsi in Koudougou (West Center Region) to preside over the ground breaking ceremony of the rehabilitation of the Kamsi water retention basin. Together with the High Commissioner of the province, Chargé Young also presided over the ceremony of delivery of solar panels for the electrification of the school Kamsi “A” coordinated by the U.S. NGO Give Water Give Life. The other major component of the trip was a visit to Ramongo, a village near Koudougou where the Chargé discussed with local authorities and some high school students and offered dozens of “Tom” Shoes.
