Over fifty students including 76% of female and their teacher Djiguimdé/Barry Fatoumata from the Communication department of Aube Nouvelle University in Ouagadougou (ISIG) stepped away from their classes on January 14, 2015 to visit the American Library and take part in a screening and debate program on Martin Luther King’s Day organized by the US Embassy. Students were introduced to the American Library Service’s online databases and on how to use the English resources to improve their English and studies. They were briefed on the Library Membership’s requirements and operations. Students watched and listened to Martin Luther King Jr. “I have a dream” speech and discussed their dreams. Ambassador Mushingi welcomed the students, provided advices and encouraged them to use the Library. The students later visited the different sections of the Library.
