Ambassador Mushingi and his staff traveled Southwest to the Cascades Region December 13 – 15, bringing the American Road Show to capital city of Banfora. The American Road Show’s main goal is to strengthen the bond with the Burkinabè throughout the country by taking the time to visit with the people in the 13 different regions of Burkina while highlighting a particular project from the American people to the Burkinabè.  The Millenium Challenge Corporation’s (MCC) Rural Roads project was the centerpiece of this trip, highlighting a major component of the 5-year, $481 million dollar Compact.

The second stop was the SOTRIA-B cashew factory where Mushingi toured the factory and met with the all-female workforce. Ambassador Mushingi and the team then visited a MCA-MCC funded village nursery, an improved breeding farm and a vegetable garden as well as a veterinary laboratory.

The 2nd day of the road show was dedicated to the rural roads ground breaking ceremony in Tiekouna, Banfora. Ambassador Mushingi and Minister of Transport J.
