On Tuesday, September 17, 2013, in a solemn ceremony under military color guard, Dr. Tulinabo S. Mushingi, the new ambassador of the United States of America to Burkina Faso, presented his credentials to President Blaise Compaoré at the presidential palace, Kosyam.
While Ouagadougou represents his first post as ambassador, it is not Dr. Mushingi’s first assignment in Africa as a United States Department of State representative. From 2009 to 2011, he served as deputy chief of mission in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. He was administrative affairs counselor in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania from 2006 to 2009. He also worked in Morocco from 2001 to 2003 as administrative director for the U. S. General Consulate in Casablanca.
